Support & Progress

Support & Progress

Each student is assigned to a Personal Tutor, whose role is to supervise students’ academic progress, university applications and general welfare. Personal Tutors keep in frequent contact with subject tutors and parents and are able to devote much of their time to helping and encouraging the students under their care. Regular, individual meetings are held to discuss progress in class, homework, test results, UCAS applications and reports.

Parents are encouraged to communicate with Personal Tutors on a regular basis. Informal meetings between parents, students and tutors provide a constructive forum for assessing progress. Written reports from the subject tutors are sent to parents twice in the Autumn term and once in the Spring and Summer terms.

The friendly and supportive Personal Tutor system at ý Cambridge really is a key feature of the college. The comments of students in the Success Stories section of this website give both specific examples as well as a wider insight into the success of this system.

Counselling is available and free to all ý London students and staff. Find out more about the counselling services we offer.

"Personal tutors know their pupils and sixth form students exceptionally well. The wraparound support they provide is impressive."
